Personal Information:


Dr. Abo-Salem joined St Louis cardiology consultant in 2021. Before that he was an assistant professor of medicine at Saint Louis university for 5 years. He served as director of STEMI program and chair of mechanical circulatory committee in SSM health system.  He received several awards including patient care award and best teacher award, and was listed as top doctor in St Louis in 2021.


Dr. Abo-Salem published several articles in medical journals related to advanced heart disease management. He is currently member of chest pain and heart attack steering committee in the American college of cardiology. 


Dr. Abo-Salem has special interest in valvular heart and coronary artery diseases including valve procedure (aortic valve replacement (TAVR)), left atrial appendage closure, complex coronary interventions and coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO).

Dr. Bishara was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Ohio State University and before that he was an assistant professor of Medicine at University of Arkansas for Medical sciences (UAMS). He served as the associate program director for the geriatric fellowship program at UAMS. Dr. Chahoud was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Co-Director of the Heart Failure and Transplant Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences before joining St. Louis Cardiology Consultants in 2008. He served as the Associate Program Director for the Clinical Cardiology Fellowship Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock; AR between 2005-2008.

 
He is currently an assistant professor of Medicine and Adjunct Clinical Faculty at St. Louis University, and a consultant cardiologist with SSM Health-Heart and Vascular Care and the Regional Director for the Heart Failure Clinical Program at SSM Health for St. Louis and Southern Illinois region, He also serves currently as the director of Cardiology at St. Joseph Hospital, Lake St. Louis.


Dr. Chahoud serves on the AHA Board of Directors in St. Louis, MO and has been the chair of the Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) 360°, an AHA quality initiative in St. Louis Market and is currently serving as the chair for the IMPLEMENT-HF quality initiative in St. Louis.

Jared Hu has lived in the St. Louis area His entire life. 


Jared has been doing cardiology for six years and has experience working as a hospitalist for four years. His passion for helping others and his drive led him to achieving his lifelong goal of becoming a board certified NP. Undergoing grad school helped aid his passion for nursing in order to provide the best possible care for patients, especially during the transition to the role of nurse practitioner.
